Through the back-to-school initiative we identify intelligent girls in underserved communities and support them to complete their primary education. This initiative was launched at the African Women Summit in Dubai in 2021 with a goal to send 10,000 girls to school in Africa. It was kicked off in Nigeria in October 2021 with 100 girls sent back to school. This project also caters to the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) fees of the girls, their writing materials, their uniforms, and stipends to support their guardians/parents in ensuring they stay in close.
We recently partnered with Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) in May 2022, to send 10 girls back to school in Kigali Rwanda.
