The beneficiaries of the SHE TECH Project of Engage Empower Educate Initiative paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Army Staff in charge of civilian affairs on December 21, 2023. It was a special day for them since it allowed them to demonstrate what they had discovered during their training in mobile application development at the SHE TECH HUB. Additionally, a partnership/sponsorship was to be established with the Army to train roughly 10 girls from the families of the Fallen Heroes.
This visit was also to mark the conclusion of their training with the hub before they began their six-month internship with various tech hubs in Nigeria. All of the Chief of staff’s queries were enthusiastically and proudly answered in this engaging discussion.
When asked if they have developed any applications since commencing their training, they mentioned the project for a financial application they are currently working on. The chief of staff was so impressed by them that he pledged to be present at their impending graduation. This proves that the training was effective, and it makes the company proud to see the women succeed in the tech industry in such a short period of time.
