Technology or Tech as we call it lately is revolutionizing the way countries do business, and Nigeria is no exception. She Tech is a growing movement in Nigeria that is empowering women to participate in the technology industry to bridge the gap of inequality. In April 2022 we launched the pioneer class of the She Tech Project on the International Girls in ICT Day, with a goal to equip girls with the digital skills required to spark their interest in ICT as a career path, and position them to stand out in this ever challenging and competitive world.
After a successful launch, and a rigorous four-month training on varied aspects of technology, from coding to data science to product design. They had the opportunity to work on real-world projects and received mentorship from industry experts.
We are excited to share with you that in January the She Tech girls had the opportunity to be interviewed by Interswitch for internship roles. As an organization focused on empowering young women to pursue careers in the Tech industry, we are thrilled to see our members being recognized and given the opportunity to gain practical experience in a leading technology company like Interswitch.
During the interview the girls were able to showcase their skills and knowledge in various areas of technology, including coding, data analysis, and web development. They were also able to demonstrate their passion for technology and their eagerness to learn and grow in the industry.
We are proud of this feat and for their hard work and dedication in pursuing their dreams and grateful to Interswitch for recognizing their potential and providing them with the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience. At She Tech, we believe in the importance of creating a diverse and inclusive Tech industry, where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed.
